Magic Lantern
Chicco's Magic Lantern is designed to enhance your nursery with lights and sound.
It comes with 5 light display effects combined with a number of different melodies and soothing sounds of nature to
comfort and cuddle your child in a calm, peacefully relaxing atmosphere.
The lantern's unique, soft shape enables it to rock to and fro gently, whilst its practical carry-handle makes it easy for
your child to carry it around at all times.

WARNINGS! For your child's safety
CAUTION!
• Before use, remove the transparent plastic wrap around the lamp, remove the screws from the battery cover with a
Phillips screwdriver. Remove the fastening strip inside the battery compartment.
• Plastic bags and other components which are not part of the lamp (e.g, ties, fasteners, etc.) must be removed before
use and kept out of reach of children. Suffocation hazard.
• Check the lamp regularly for signs of wear and damage. In the case of damage, do not use and keep it out of reach
of children.
• Children may use the lamp only under the supervision of an adult.
• Do not use the lamp in any manner other than those illustrated in the manual.
• Do not drop the lamp or use it as a rattle: it may break.
• Do not dip the lamp in water or other liquids.
• When not being used, always switch the lamp off by turning the knob completely counterclockwise (1).
• ARTSANA declines all responsibility for any damage caused by inappropriate, incorrect or unreasonable use of the
appliance.
REPLACING AND FITTING THE BATTERIES (fig 2)
WARNINGS!
• To fit/replace the batteries, open the cover (7) by removing the 2 screws on the bottom of the lamp (4) using a
Phillips screwdriver. Insert 3x1.5V AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring that they have been fitted with correct polarity.
Then close the close and tighten the 2 screws completely.
• Only use alkaline batteries of the same type or equivalent to the type recommended for the correct function of
this device.
• Never use different types of batteries or new and used batteries together.
• Never short-circuit the poles/terminals of a battery.
• Batteries must be placed fitting them with the correct polarity.
• Non-rechargeable batteries must not be recharged. Do not try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries: they may
explode.
• Always remove batteries if you expect not to use the device for a long time.
• Rechargeable batteries must be removed from the toy before recharging (if they can be removed).
• Rechargeable batteries are to be charged under adult supervision only.
• We recommend not to use rechargeable batteries for this device, as these may reduce or prevent correct operation.
