  • Page 3 Stage 2: Footings The footing (foundation) pipes approx. 500mm long are set into the ground at 2.0m centre to centre down each side and 2.74m centre to centre across the greenhouse. Drive these into the ground keeping the tops all level and approx. 150mm above ground (flat ground) in both directions. Please Note: It is recommended that you drill a hole near the bottom of each footing pipe, then place a rod through the hole and set the footing in concrete, to make a more permanent structure.
  • Page 4 Stage 4: Hoops If you’re curved pipe section (Hoops) are cut in half. (Fig 5) Note: Don’t separate taped sections (Hoop pairs) until ready to assemble each hoop. Both section of the one hoop should be taped together with a sleeve already attached to one end. To assemble place sleeved end into other marked or painted curved section and tek into place.
  • Page 5 Stage 5: Spacer Pipe Three rows of spacer pipes are supplied to clamp between the hoops. One row in the apex (Centre of roof) of the framework, the other two rows on either side. (Fig 7) The fixing clamps covering the join between the hoops and upright posts (Fig 8) and “T” clamps at ends. (Fig 8a) (Fig 7) (Fig 8)
  • Page 6 Stage 6: Door Post Door posts are 25mm x 25mm steel they are driven into the ground at each end directly under the hoop, (centred) to make a door opening a nominal 665mm wide.   • Page 7 Stage 8: Lockstrip on door post Attach Lockstrip base to the door posts with the rounded edge facing outwards away from the door as shown below in Fig 14. (Fig 14) Stage 9: Attaching Polyguard Tape Wipe down the hoops with a clean rag to remove protective coating and apply the felt tape. This is supplied for sticking to the top edge of the hoops and outer edges of the spacer pipes and side posts to prevent any heat transfer from the hoop into the cover.
  • Page 8 Stage 10: Covering your greenhouse To cover the greenhouse, pick a calm day. Place the cover evenly over the frame with equal overhang on all four sides. It is important that the cover is held into the alloy base with the L shaped PVC and this in turn is held in place with the L “button”...
  • Page 9 Finished door (Fig 18) The doors are hinged into place, the hinge is attached to the post by placement under the Lockstrip®, tek screws are fitted through the Lockstrip® and then hinge (Fig 19). The doors are then covered with polythene that is held in place with Lockstrip®.

    Duratough 180 micron AF, Super D4 152 micron, Hortiplus X30 150 micron and other greenhouse films supplied by Redpath in New Zealand are backed with a Pro-rata Ultra Violet Warranty Only (see below). Full details on warranty cover and conditions are available upon request. Any warranty claims against these products should be directed in writing to your original supplier or Redpath Ideal Greenhouses Pty.
