1 Overview  
ThingsLog   LPMDL-­‐1101   is   a   universal,   low   power   mobile   data   logger   able   to   meter   various   kinds   of   pulse  
meters   a nd   a nalog   s ensors.   T he   l ogger   i s   t ransmitting   t he   m etered   d ata   o ver   2 G/GSM/GPRS.  
LPMDL-­‐1101   h as   t he   f ollowing   k ey   c haracteristics:  
Optimal   d ata   t ransmissions   -­‐   L PMDL-­‐1101   i s   a ble   t o   t ransmit   t he   d ata   o ver   a   t wo   w ay   G SM/GPRS   n etwork   i n  
an   o ptimal   f or   t he   b attery   w ay.   T hat   a llows   t he   l ogger   t o   m eter   p er   m inute,   t o   t ransmit   a   c ouple   o f   t imes   p er  
day   a nd   s till   t o   a chieve   m ore   t han   5   y ears   o f   b attery   l ife.    
Intelligence   -­‐   the   data   is   transmitted   over   a   widely   distributed,   cellular   network   and   is   automatically  
gathered   i n   T hingsLog   p latform.  
Pulse   m etering   -­‐   L PMDL-­‐1101   h as   a bility   f or   a n   i ndependent   c ounting   o f   p ulse   o utput   m eters   f or   w ater,   g as,  
power  and  heating.  With  a  single  data  logger  you  can  meter  two  meters  for  example  for  cold  and  hot   w ater  
or   i f   y our   m eters   a re   i n   p roximity   d istance   y ou   c an   m eter   w ith   a   s ingle   d evice   g as,   p ower   a nd   h eating.    
Analog   sensors   metering   -­‐   LPMDL-­‐1101   has   two   extra   inputs   for   connecting   analog   sensors   with   4-­‐20   mA  
output.   A n   e xample   c ould   b e   c onnecting   t wo   p ressure   s ensors   o r   o ne   p ressure   a nd   o ne   t emperature   s ensor.      
Combined  monitoring  -­‐  LPMDL-­‐1101  can  fulfill  use  cases  where  with  a  single  logger  have  to  be  monitored  
one   water   meter   and   two   pressure   sensors.   For   example   monitoring   of   pressure   reduction   areas   by  
measurements   o f   p ressure   s ensors   b efore   a nd   a fter   t he   p ressure   r eduction   v alve   a nd   i ts   w ater   m eter.      
Alarms   and   notifications   -­‐   LPMDL-­‐1101   together   with   the   ThingsLog   platform   is   able   to   monitor  
consumption   and   notify   the   customer   or   the   utility   company   for   leaks,   high   or   low   consumption,   fraud   or  
thresholds   b ridging   o f   c ertain   s ensor   v alue   o r   a   c ombination   o f   a   s ensor   a nd   m etered   v alue.  
Application   -­‐   LPMDL-­‐1101   fulfills   various   use-­‐cases   in   water,   power   and   gas   distribution   utilities   but   also  
many   other   use-­‐cases   in   property   management,   hotel,   manufacturing,   condominium   sub-­‐metering   or   in  
common   n eed   i s   s pread.    
Ability  to  work  in  any  environment  -­‐  LPMDL-­‐1101  has  IP68  dust  and  leakage  protection  and  is  suitable  for  
any   k ind   o f   h ome   o r   i ndustrial   u sage.
