HD Radio stations broadcast a high-quality digital signal
at traditional AM or FM radio frequencies. Digital HD
Radio broadcasts can also include additional
supplemental program service (SPS) channels within the
same radio frequency. Each radio frequency can
multicast up to eight SPS channels, if available.

HD Radio Signal Strength
If your infotainment system loses a radio station's
digital signal, it automatically switches to the analog
signal broadcast at the same frequency, if one is
available. If you lose signal from an SPS channel, the
radio mutes until you return to the signal range. You
may experience an interruption in the sound when this
happens. When the system is back in range of an HD
Radio signal, it automatically returns to the digital
broadcast.
Live Broadcasts
Broadcasters have the option to remove analog delay
while broadcasting live events. When receiving a live
broadcast, the system plays analog audio to more
closely align the audio signal with the live event. While
you are receiving a live signal, "Live" appears next to
the name of the AM/FM radio source.
DAB Playback
DAB broadcasts are not available in all regions. When
the stereo is not set to a compatible region, the DAB
source is not available.
