    3Com Baseline Switch 2848-SFP Plus Issues Fixed in Switch 2848-SFP Plus Release 1.0.2.2 The following issues have been resolved in this release of this software. Upgrade Procedure • Losing connectivity or power-cycling during the upgrade procedure would result in the switch entering failsafe mode. However from here it would not be possible to re- install the switch software.

    3Com Baseline Switch 2848-SFP Plus Known Issues for Switch 2848-SFP Plus Release 1.0.2.2 SFP Frame Loss Issue • Occasionally, when a fibre cable is plugged into an SFP transceiver the SFP port is unable to receive frames. This condition can be avoided by ensuring that no frame transmissions or receptions occur on this port during link initialization.

    For instructions on how to upgrade the Switch to this firmware version, please refer to the 3Com Baseline Switch 2848-SFP Plus User Guide (part number DUA1648-6AAA01). Please note it is only necessary to upgrade the Switch to this version of code if you have a Switch that was supplied with a previous version of the software.
