9. Decommissioning/disposal

9.1 Taking out of service

If the sensor paper roll dispenser is not used for an extended period of time (several weeks), it can simply be taken out of
service:
Battery-powered products:
Remove batteries and dispose of them properly.
Mains-powered products:
Disconnect the product from the mains.
Remove the power cable completely and re-attach the cover plate over the terminal strip in
the product.
Make sure that the product is not placed back in operation unintentionally. If necessary,
attach an appropriate warning sign (e.g.: "Out of service, do not connect to mains")

9.2 Disposal

Take the product out of service (see above)
•
Render the disused product unusable immediately to prevent subsequent accidents
involving the product.

Dispose of the product in a proper, environmentally friendly manner (local regulations
must be observed).

Dispose of used batteries in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
