    The full hair growth cycle lasts on average between 18 and 24 months. Most hairs are either resting or transition phases. Radiance 200 has no effects on hairs in these phases. IPL is only effective, however, on hairs in the growth phase. Therefore, multiple treatments are required to be effective on all of the hairs and to achieve lasting results.

    N.B.: It is possible you may notice some different skin colours on your body, because different areas of the body are exposed to sunlight in different amounts. For example, skin on the arms, which are generally exposed to the sun more, is darker than skin on the armpits. However, you are advised against increasing the level of intensity to use Radiance 200 on lighter areas of skin on your body.

Facial treatments Safety precautions for facial use: • Radiance 200 is only suitable for depilating the lower part of the face (cheeks, upper lip and chin). • Radiance 200 is not suitable for depilating eyelashes, hair and eyebrows. • Do not look at the area of skin being treated while the light pulses are being released.

    4.3. Coverage of the treatment area For proper coverage of the treatment area, the light pulses need to be applied to your skin in lines, from one extremity to the other, systematically continuing in successive lines. This prevents the side effects caused by overlapping the light pulses.

    5.2. Cleaning We recommend that you clean Radiance 200, especially the application surface, after every depilation session: • Unplug Radiance 200 before cleaning. • Gently clean the casing of Radiance 200 and especially the application surface, using a clean, dry cloth and a cleaner formulated for cleaning electronic equipment.
  • Page 27 • Mild pain in the skin: even though Radiance 200 is in most cases tolerated very well, most people who use it feel some mild pain during use, which they often describe as a tingling sensation in the area of skin being treated. In most cases, this tingling sensation is felt during application and even possibly for a few minutes afterwards.

    • Excessive redness and swelling: in some rare cases, skin treated with Radiance 200 can become very red and swollen. This reaction is more common in sensitive areas of the body. Redness and swelling should disappear within 2 to 7 days of regular application of ice. Gentle cleaning is no problem, but you should avoid exposure to sunlight.
