The wind speed may not be showing on the ACU-RITE 06008 monitor due to one or more of the following reasons:
1. Obstructions – The sensor may be mounted in a location with obstructions that block wind flow, preventing accurate measurement. 2. Installation Height – If the sensor is mounted too low (below 5 feet), wind measurements may be inaccurate or not detected. 3. Level Installation – The sensor may not be installed level, affecting wind speed readings. 4. Power Issues – The sensor requires 4 AA alkaline or lithium batteries. If the batteries are low or not installed correctly, the wind speed function may not work. 5. Wireless Range – The sensor must be within the 330 ft (100 m) wireless range; interference from home construction materials could impact data transmission. 6. Mechanical Blockage – The wind cups may be obstructed by debris or dirt, preventing them from spinning freely. 7. Interference – The sensor operates at 433 MHz; other electronic devices nearby could cause interference.
Checking these factors and ensuring proper installation can help restore wind speed readings.
