1. Introduction

The Legrand HDBase-T HDMI Extender (P/N AC1030)
provides connection distances up to 100 meters (328 feet)
for HDMI connected devices (ie. DVD to TV).
NOTE: Cat 6 strongly recommended for lengths over
125 feet to ensure fullest bandwidth support.

2. Description

The AC1030 HDBase-T HDMI Extender (see Figure 1)
consists of a transmitter unit (with included power supply),
and a receiver unit (with included power supply), which are
connected over Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable up to 100m apart.
One application would be for a DVD player connected with
a short HDMI cable (not included) to the transmitter, while
an HD TV would be connected with a short HDMI cable
(not included) to the receiver unit. There are also two
100Base-T ports on the transmitter unit, and two 100Base-
T ports on the receiver unit, so the units can also be used
to extend a LAN data network (see Figure 3).
Also supplied with the AC1030 (see Figure 2) is an IR
transmitter and an IR receiver to allow for remote control of
the DVD player from the TV location (for example).
