OPERATION
LOCK-ON BUTTON
See Figure 2, page 10.
The saw is equipped with a lock-on feature which is
convenient when continuous cutting for extended periods
of time is required.
To lock-on:
 Squeeze the switch trigger fully and hold in place.
 Push in and hold the lock-on button located on the side
of the handle.
 Release switch trigger.
 Release lock-on button.
To release:
 Squeeze and release the switch trigger.
If the battery pack is removed while the motor is running
and the lock-on feature is engaged, the saw will not resume
operation until the battery pack is replaced and the lock-on
feature is disengaged.
VARIABLE SPEED DIAL
See Figure 3, page 10.
The variable speed dial, located on the top of the tool,
allows the saw to operate at different maximum speeds. The
maximum speed can be adjusted before or during operation.
To change the maximum speed during operation, hold the
saw in a normal operating position, fully depress the switch
trigger, and rotate the dial forward or backwards. To change
the maximum speed prior to operation, rotate the dial forward
or backwards, and then depress the switch trigger to operate
the saw between 0 SPM and the preset maximum.
SETTING
OPERATION
Line-Start Switch trigger must be fully depressed
to activate Line-Start Mode. Saw runs
at reduced speeds until blade engages
workpiece. The saw speed will increase
automatically to provide the most efficient cut.
1-2
Slow speeds are ideal when minimum speed
and power is required, for example, starting
cuts.
3-4
Medium speeds are suitable for cutting hard
metals, plastics, and laminates.
5
Maximum speeds produce best results when
maximum power is required, for example,
cutting wood. Soft metals such as aluminum,
brass, and copper may also require high
speeds.
OFF
Setting the variable speed dial in the OFF
position will make the saw inoperable to help
reduce the possibility of accidental starting
when not in use.
NOTE: The LED grip light switch can still be
used to turn the LED on. LED will turn off
automatically after 10 seconds.
Avoid running the saw at low speeds for extended periods
of time. Running at low speeds under constant usage may
cause your saw to become overheated. If this occurs, cool
your saw by running it without a load and at full speed.
INSTALLING/REMOVING BLADES
See Figure 4, page 11.
The tool-free blade clamp does not require the use of a blade
wrench when installing or removing the blade.
NOTE: The jigsaw is designed to use T-shank and U-shank
blades only.
To install blades:
 Remove the battery pack.
 Rotate the blade clamp lever away from the orbital
adjustment knob and hold in place.
 Insert the saw blade as far as possible into the slot in the
saw bar. Some resistance may be felt in doing this.
 Check to make sure the back of the saw blade is centered
in the groove of the blade-support roller.
 Release the blade clamp lever. Make sure the blade is
securely in place.
 Reinstall the battery pack.
NOTE: Check that the blade is inserted fully and completely
secured. Blade will lock into position when correctly installed.
Do not use the tool if the blade is not installed correctly.
To remove blades:
 Remove the battery pack.
 Allow blade to cool.
 Rotate the blade clamp lever away from the orbital
adjustment knob and hold in place.
 Remove the saw blade.
 Reinstall the battery pack.
LED GRIP LIGHT
See Figures 5 - 6, page 11.
The LED light switch is located on the handle of the tool.
The LED light illuminates when the switch trigger or grip light
switch is depressed to give you a clear view of the cut line
on your work surface.
If the tool is not in use, the time-out feature will cause the
light to start fading and then shut off.
The LED light illuminates only when there is a charged battery
pack in the tool.
BLOWER PORT
See Figure 7, page 11.
The blower port directs debris away from the cut line to
improve line of sight.
