3. Delivery and handling

CAUTION

Wear protective equipment.
Handle with care, do not throw.

3.1 Handling

Observe when transporting or storing the device:
Always store the device in a cool, dry place.
All connections must be tightly sealed during transport and
storage.
No foreign matter should get into lines and valves.
No moisture should get into lines and valves.
Moisture in gas-conveying parts leads to corrosion-induced
leakages.
Transport the product carefully.
Do not lift the product on devices, flexible lines or cables.
Use appropriate lifting devices to handle heavy parts.

3.2 Unpacking

Observe when unpacking the device:
Observe all handling instructions.
Open the packaging carefully.
Check the change-over device for transport damage.
Install as soon as possible after unpacking.

4. Installation

Installation must be carried out by authorised and
trained experts.
Wear personal protective equipment when handling
chemicals.

4.1 Installation location

Choose a mounting place that is free from vibrations.
Observe the permissible ambient temperature.

4.2 Mechanical installation

4.2.1 Mounting the change-over device
1. Fix the included mounting accessories (base plates, threaded
rods, hexagonal nuts and pipe clips) to the inlet and outlet
connections.
2. Mark the bore holes.
3. Drill holes for 4 dowels ∅16 mm (depth at least 100 mm).
4. Insert the dowels.
5. Fix the base plates with hexagonal screws and disks.
6. Adjust the wall distance with hexagonal nuts and threaded rods,
if necessary.
4.2.2 Mounting the control cabinet
1. Mark the bore holes
2. Drill holes for 4 dowels ∅10 mm (depth at least 70 mm).
3. Insert the dowels.
4. Screw in the 4 included special screws M 8 x 80.
5. Place the control cabinet and fix it with disks and nuts.

4.2.3 Connecting the gas lines

Use seamless-drawn steel pipe only.
All connections must be free from mechanical stress.

1. Connect the line from the first container battery to connection
(A1).
2. Connect the line from the second container battery to
connection (A2).
3. Connect the outlet line to connection (B).

4.3 Electrical installation

WARNING

Before making any electrical connections, switch off
the power supply and make sure that it cannot be
accidentally switched on.
All electrical connections must be carried out by a
qualified electrician in accordance with local
regulations.
All electrical connections must be carried out in
accordance with the wiring diagram.
Before connecting the mains cable, make sure that the
voltage and frequency specified on the nameplate
correspond to the local power supply. An incorrect supply
voltage may destroy the device.
Route the input, output and power supply cables in
separate ducts.
