Protecting Your
Privacy
The AIM service allows you to control who
contacts you. If a user sends you annoying
or offensive messages, you can decline to
receive further messages from that user.
If you choose to decline messages from
users on your phone, the block is only good
for as long as you are signed on to the AIM
service. The next time you sign on, that user
will be able to send messages to you. To
permanently block a user, use AOL or AIM on
a computer.
Decline Messages From a
User
If you decline messages from a user, any
conversation with that user is deleted. If the
user is a buddy, they are moved to the
Offline Buddies section of the Buddy List
and a declined icon is shown next to their
name.
