    Do not use a hand-held phone while driving; park the vehicle first. Switching Off When Refueling Do not use the phone at a refueling point (service station) or near fuels or chemicals. Switching Off in Aircraft Wireless phones can cause interference. Using them in aircraft is both illegal and dangerous.

    Important Safety Precautions Sensible Use Use only in the normal position (held to the ear). Avoid unnecessary contact with the antenna when the phone is switched on. Emergency Call Ensure the phone is switched on and in service. Key in the emergency number for your present location, then press <SEND>.

    Service light Description In the menu mode, scroll through the menu options and Phonebook memory. In the idle mode, allow you to access your favourite menu options directly; for more information on shortcuts, see page 98. In the idle mode, quickly accesses the Camera menu which allows you to use the camera on your phone.

    In the menu mode, selects a menu function or stores information that you have entered (such as a name) in the phone or SIM memory. Ends a call. Also switches the phone on and off when held down.

    Your Phone External Display Your phone has an external display on the cover. It indicates that you have an incoming call or a message, and notifies you when you set an alarm at the specified time. Service Light The service light is above the external display on the folder cover.

    Searching for a Number in the Phonebook After storing numbers in the Phonebook, you can search for them in two ways; by name and by caller group. Searching for a Number by Name 1. When the idle screen displays, press the Name soft key.

    (Menu 1.1) This message box is used to store the messages that you have received. When you enter this menu, the list of messages in the box displays with the senders’ phone numbers or names, if available in your Phonebook.
