    INTRODUCTION Dear Customer; Thank you for buying a quality Univa Electric Stove, designed to give years of safe, convenient, economical and trouble-free cooking and baking. To ensure that you get the best performance from your superb quality stove, please read this instruction manual carefully. Familiarize yourself with the information as it contains “How to use and take care of your stove”, together with other useful hints.

    A- SAFETY INSTRUCTION The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless it is done under the supervision of a responsible adult. Do not allow children to play or tamper with the appliance. During use the appliances becomes hot.

    B- CONNECTION TO THE POWER SUPPLY This appliance has a ‘Y’ type supply cord connection and must be installed by a licensed Electrician, who will ensure that the stove is correctly connected and safely earthed. After installation, inspect the unit to make sure all connections are secured and properly installed/tightened.

    C- INSTALLATION Free-standing stoves must be positioned firm and placed at least 25mm from the wall. Anti-Tilt mechanism (Stabilizing bracket) – For 500mm range stoves only Safety regulations stipulate that the Anti-Tilt mechanism supplied with the stove, must be fixed as shown. IMPORTANT: The instructions below are only relevant to the 500mm-range stoves.

    The stove is secured and will not accidentally tilt if downward pressure is applied to the open oven door. D- OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1) Identify the control switch for a particular plate by looking at the easy-to-use indicator on the control panel. 2) Start by setting the control switch to 6 and reduce the heat when the content boils.

  • Page 11 H- GENERAL HINTS & CLEANING NOTES 1. Before cleaning or repairing your stove, remember to switch off the electric appliance at the mains switch. 2. Set oven Rotary Selector switch and all heating plate switches to “0” position when the stove is not in use. 3.
  • Page 12 Repeat this treatment immediately after each plate has been used during • the first four weeks after purchase. It is important that this should be done while the plate is still warm as the heat carbonizes the oil. • If this is repeated frequently for each cooking plate, the pores of the metal become filled by carbonized oil, thus sealing the surface of the plate against the ingress of moisture or any corrosives such as salt and acid solutions.
