Battery Operation

1. Remove the transparent plastic switch cover and set the mode selection
switch (3) to the OFF position.
2. Remove the plug of the connection cable of the battery box (7) from the 6 V
jack (9) and slide the battery box from the housing. If necessary, loosen the
four screws of the two holding frames of the battery box a little bit.
3. Open the battery box lid by means of the small pin close to the connection
cable. Insert four batteries of the type LR20 (UM1) 1.5 V into the battery
box. Pay attention to the proper polarity of the batteries. The polarity is
printed inside the battery box. Close the battery box with the lid and hook it
into the housing. Connect the plug of the connection cable with the 6 V
jack (9).
4. Press the test button (6) for function check. The red LED indicator (5) lights
up and a high frequent sound can be heard in this test mode. Setup the
desired operation mode (see chapters "Switch Settings" and "Selecting the
Frequency Range") and secure the control panel with the plastic switch
cover.
5. If you operate the device with batteries, put the supplied rubber sealing
plug into the 12 V jack (8) to protect it from humidity.

Mains Operation

1. Use a power adaptor (not included) with an output voltage of 12 V
the mode selection switch (3) to the OFF position.
2. Remove the battery box (7). Connect the power adapter to the 12 V
jack (8). Make sure the connecting plug has the proper polarity
(inside +, outside -).
3. Connect the power adapter with a power outlet. Press the test button (6) for
function check. The red LED indicator (5) lights up and a high frequent
sound can be heard in this test mode. Setup the desired operation mode
(see chapters "Switch Settings" and "Selecting the Frequency Range") and
secure the control panel with the plastic switch cover.
4. Put the supplied rubber sealing plug into the 6 V jack (9) to protect it from
humidity.
