Then they can be directly addressed and controlled via a PC in the network. A driver is installed on the PC which makes you available these USB devices via a virtual USB interface.

    1. Installation Hardware installation file Connect the hardware AK-USB-DeviceServer (XT-PICO-USB, ComPoint-USB or ConLine-USB2) to the network and connect the power supply unit. Software installation file If you receive the installation program compressed (ZIP file), decompress it beforehand. Then start the installation program “USB_Server_Setup.exe“ USB_Server_Setup.exe Automatic installation start The installation process starts automatically and does not require any further entries.

    2. Software First start of your software After restarting your PC you will find two new icons on your desktop. Start the “Launch USB Server“ by double-clicking on the icon. When first starting the software the confirmation prompt of the Windows firewall below is displayed.

If no AK-USB-DeviceServer is played, connect your AK-USB-DeviceServer to your network and check your cabling or the network settings of your PC.     3. Connecting the USB device Establishing a connection AK-USB-DeviceServer (XT-PICO-USB, ComPoint-USB or ConLine-USB2) recognizes a USB device on the USB connection, it is displayed in the program “USB Server“. All important information such as device, status and information are displayed here.

Then Windows recognizes the USB device as a standard USB device connected to the USB port and you will possibly prompted to install the corresponding driver in order to guarantee the proper function.

  • Page 41 XT-PICO-USB Everything you need is a RJ45 female connector and two LED’s. It is possible to directly use the LED connections. The series resistors are already available on the XT-PICO-USB. Also the RJ45 connections can be directly connected on the RJ45 female connector.
