    WLAN client card. 1.2 Wireless Networks The Marvell client card operate similar to the Ethernet card, except that a radio replaces the wires between communication devices. All existing applications that operate over Ethernet operate a Marvell wireless network without any modification of need for special wireless networking software.

Unlike wired networks where a physical connection is required, anyone within the range of a wireless AP can send and receive frames, as well as listen for frames being sent.

Clearing the check box turns on the radio. Figure 10: Radio On/Off Check Box Another way to turn the radio on or off is to right-click the Configuration Utility icon in System Tray and select Turn Radio Off to turn the radio off.

If you want to specify particular server certificates to be accepted (instead of accepting any certificate sent by the server), click the Server Authentication tab.

Signal Strength is reported as a percentage. A signal in the red indicates a bad connection. A signal in green indicates a good connection.
