Intended Use
The ELA wall Speaker is intended to convert electric output signals of ELA amplifiers and audio
amplifiers into audible sound waves. It is approved to be connected to speaker outputs of such
devices only.
The product may only be used indoors; never outdoors. Do not expose to moisture, for exam-
ple in bathrooms or similar spaces.
Any other use than the one described above may lead to damage to the loudspeaker and
involves other risks, such as short-circuits, fire, etc.
No part of the product must be modified or rebuilt.
Always observe the safety instructions.
This product complies with the national and European legal requirements.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume liability for any resulting dam-
age.
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by improper use or failure to observe the safety instructions The warranty will
be void in such cases.
The exclamation mark icon indicates important notices in the operating
instructions. Prior to starting up the product read the entire operating instruc-
tions, they contain important information on the correct operation.
The lightning symbol on the device indicates that important notes in the oper-
ating instructions are to be observed.
• For safety and approval (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifications to the
product are not permitted.
• When connecting the ELA Wall Speaker, the safety instructions of the device to which it is
connected must also be observed.
• Never pour liquids over electrical devices and never place objects filled with liquid on top of
them (e. g. vases). You run the risk of causing a fire or a fatal electric shock.
• Do not place naked flames such as burning candles on top of the device.
• Only use the product in a moderate climate, never in tropical climates.
• Do not keep any magnetic storage media such as disks, video cassettes or similar near the
loudspeaker as the magnetic field of the loudspeaker may corrupt the information stored on
these media.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music for long periods of time. This may damage your
hearing.
• Do not expose the loudspeaker to high temperatures, strong vibrations, drips or water spray.
• This product is not a toy, it is not suitable for children. Children are not aware of the poten-
tial dangers when using electrical devices.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous play-
thing for children.
• Pay attention to the applicable regulations and laws e.g. the accident prevention regulations
of the Association of the Industrial Workers' Society for Electrical Equipment and Utilities and
so on, when using it in commercial or public places. As the operator, you must obtain infor-
mation from the authorities in charge and you are responsible for observing the applicable
laws and regulations.

not answered in these operating instructions, please contact our technical advisory service
or another specialist.
• You should also observe the additional safety instructions in each section of these instruc-
tions.

Do not place your ELA Wall Speaker in the direct vicinity of screens such as
TV sets or computer monitors. The magnetic field of the speaker might dis-

tort the image on such devices.
Make sure that the mounting surface can take the weight of the speaker.
The speaker must be fastened securely to make sure it does not fall down and
therefore to prevent the possible risk of an accident.
When connecting the speaker, make sure the connecting cables are neither
crushed nor damaged by sharp edges.
Connect the speaker to suitable speaker outputs of ELA or hi-fi amplifiers
only.
Make sure that the data for impedance and/or load stated in the Technical
Data table are in agreement with the data for the connected amplifier.
Otherwise, damage to the loudspeaker or the amplifier can occur.
The amplifier to which the speaker will be connected must be separated from
its power supply during connection (unplug the mains plug!).
The ELA wall loudspeaker or a combination of several loudspeakers can be mounted as
shown on the following illustrations.
• Depending on the desired mounting location, install the enclosed support with screws that
are suitable for the mounting surface.
