Problems and Solutions

Before contacting Samsung after-sales service, perform the following simple checks.
If you cannot solve the problem using the instructions below, note the model and serial number of the
STB and contact your local dealer.
Problems
No display LED on the front panel;
No power supply.
No picture
No sound
Poor picture quality
Remote control malfunctions
On-Screen Error Message "No Signal.
Check the aerial connection".
When you move house or the STB is
moved (the "No Signal" message may
appear when the STB is installed in a
new place).
Digital Text does not appear.
N Check that the mains lead has been connected to a power
socket correctly.
N Set receiver to "On";
N Check channel and video output and correct if necessary (TV
instruction manual)
N Check the volume.
N Check whether the volume Mute button on the remote control
has been pressed.
N Check the signal strength in the Signal Information menu,
check alignment of your aerial.
N Replace the remote control batteries.
N Clean the upper edge of the remote control (transmission
window).
N Check the battery terminals.
N No digital transmissions in your area.
N Check the aerial connection and correct.
N Select Update Channel List in the menu and scan again.
N Check if Digital Text is enabled in the Feature menu. (Change to
Enable if it is set to Disable)
