Before plugging in your Duxtop
AC. Do not share a 120V electrical outlet with another electrical appliance.
There is one burner on the ES-3102 rated at 1500W. There are two burners on ES-3203/ES-3202.
The larger burner is rated at 1300W. The smaller burner is rated at 500W. Use the larger burner for
cooking tasks that require high heat, such as boiling water. Use the smaller burner for simmering or
warming.
1. Place the cooktop on a fl at, dry and heat-resistant surface close to an electrical outlet. Leave
at least 4" of space on all sides of the unit.
2. Make sure the temperature knob is in the OFF position.
3. Make sure there are no foreign objects such as water or food on the heating element before
turning it on.
4. Plug the cooktop into an electrical outlet. Do not heat the cooktop without a fi lled pot on a burner.
5. Turn the temperature knob from the OFF position to the desired setting. The cooktop cycles on
and off to maintain the setting temperature. The heating indicator light illuminates when the heat
is on.
6. The cooktop will be very hot. DO NOT touch the surface while in use if it has not cooled
down completely.
7. When cooking is complete, turn the temperature control knob to the OFF position.
8. Unplug the cooktop when it is not in use and let it cool down.
The cooktop may emit a small amount of smoke which will
dissipate quickly during the fi rst use. It is a normal reaction due
to the invisible protective coating.
