Automatic Shutoff
If a cover is left in the machine after binding the machine will
cut power to the heating plate after 5 minutes. If the machine
is empty but is not used for fifteen minutes it will
automatically shut off. To restore power, turn the machine off
and then on again.

USER GUIDE FOR THERMOBIND TB500
Operating Instructions:
1. Plug directly into an 120Volt outlet. Turn on the power switch
located at the right front. The machine beeps when ready. (about 3
minutes)
2. Press the "SELECT" button to select your choice of I, 60 seconds, II,
120 seconds, or III, ( both the I and the ll lit up) 180 seconds.
3. Fill your thermal binding cover(s) with the sheets you wish to bind.
Place the cover(s) into the machine with the spine resting squarely
on the heating plate.
4. An electric eye will cause the cycle to begin when the covers are
inserted into the machine.
5. The machine will beep when the cycle is done.
6. Before removing the booklet(s) from the machine, push down on
the pages while holding the front and back covers firmly so that you
can be sure that all the pages are making contact with the melted
adhesive.
7 . Remove the bound book(s) from the machine. Place it in the
cooling rack and leave it for about 5-10 minutes. Do not try to open
the book(s) until it has thoroughly cooled.
8. To continue binding, please repeat steps 3 through 7.
9. Turn the machine off after binding.
