Introduction
Congratulations on buing your Capriol. This spicy fully acrobatic
electric model is something special and will come alive in the
hands of good pilot. Small, robust, light and very maneuverable
Capriol will capture the attention of any modeler who sees it
in the air. At same time Capriol is pilot friendly and, thanks to
its small size, can be transported in the boot of any car.
Designed initialy for a „400" electric motor with gear, with a
new generation small brushless Mutron 400 Capriol is ideal for
aerobatics.
The fuselage of the model kit you have bought is moulded from
extruded polystyrene foam (EPSF). This material has enabled
the design of a very light model, which has the ability to
realistically recreate the aerobatic flight characteristics.
Working with foam polystyrene means you have to keep in
mind its relative softness; it is quite easy to nick or gouge its
surface on hard or sharp objects, including your fingernails.
We recommend that a piece of soft foam is placed on the work
surface to avoid this type of surface damage.
Minor dents can be removed by using a hot air gun – however,
it is necessary to set the temperature accurately, otherwise
you can easily melt the plastic. A test on a dented scrap of
extruded polystyrene is recommended, before trying a repair.
A very sharp modelling knife or a piece of razor blade should be
used for cutting the EPSF. A blunt tool will not cut the plastic,
just tear it. Also for the final sanding of the model, please
always use a new, sharp, unused, piece of sandpaper of
150~250 grit. Sand lightly and never press on the surface
being sanded.
When using glue or paint on the model, use products that do
not attack polystyrene foam. Alcohol- or Acrylic-based paints
should be used. You may use contact glues like Uhu Por, gap-
filling (foaming) polyurethane (PU) glues, Cyanoacrylate (CA)
glues (suitable for styrofoam) and quick-setting epoxy. The
recommended type of glue to be used is shown on each
construction step. To glue the wooden parts, standard modelling
glues can be used– both acetone and cyanoacrylate
Before starting construction
Although the assembly of the model is not complicated, it is
important to carefully study the assembly instructions and think
over each step thoroughly.
Checking the kit
Carefully study the building sketches; read and understand the
step-by-step instructions before beginning construction, it is time
well spent. First, examine the kit to ensure nothing is missing. Using
the illustrations mark each wood part its corresponding number.
Remove each die cut part and sand it carefully.

Assembly
1. Cut avay the bottom of the fuselage [1] and open the
marked openings for the elevator and rudder control rods.
If using brushless motor Mutron S89ATI16.15.8
2. Glue (Epoxy) the motor former doubler [DC2-1] to the motor
former [DC1-1]. Use the motor to mark the motor former for the
mounting holes and drill for the mounting screws.
3. Through the wing centre section opening in the fuselage
[1], glue (Epoxy, PU) the assembled motor former to fuselage.
The correct position of the former is set by the grooves moulded
