Operating in tablet mode

The DCU 220 can be used as a conventional laptop as
well as in tablet mode. In tablet mode, the DCU 220 is
operated using a stylus or your fingertip and virtual key-
board instead of the  keyboard and touchpad (mouse).
1. Open the DCU 220 until the screen is nearly perpen-
dicular to the keyboard.
2. Rotate the screen 180° counterclockwise.

Do not rotate the screen more than 180°, and do not
rotate it clockwise.
3. Fold the screen downward so that the screen display
points upward and the screen lies securely on top
(note the side guides).
4. Push the latch upward.
5. Engage the clip in the cover.
6. Pushed the latch downward until it locks in place.

Printing

You can connect a printer (such as a PDR 374) via the
USB port of the DCU 220.

details of printer drivers and installation.

Port

Connect the USB connecting cable 1 684 465 682
to the DVD drive and the two USB ports of the
DCU 220 (Fig. 3, Item 3).
 The driver for the DVD drive is installed automat-
ically.

The DVD drive can be used.

Power is supplied by way of the USB connecting
cable 1 684 465 682 (max. 0.7 m). No power supply
unit is required.
5.10.2

Correct handling of DVD-ROMs

Make sure hands are clean and not greasy when
inserting the DVD-ROM in the DVD drive.
Never touch the unlabeled side of the DVD.
Do not write on the DVD, and do not affix any stickers.
Never use solvents such as spirit or paint thinners,
record cleaners or anti-static agents to clean a soiled
DVD.
Carefully wipe off any finger marks or dust with a
soft cloth working outwards from the center.
Never expose DVDs to high temperatures or direct
sunlight.

Regularly clean the DVD drive with cleaning disc for
the CD or DVD drive (see also Sec. 6.1.3).
