7. Troubleshooting

Problem
Digital display does not
turn on
Compressor motor does
not start
System does not build
pressure
System takes a long time
to fill or build pressure
Operating temperature too
high
Temperature gauge does
not read
If you experience a problem that is not covered by this troubleshooting guide, or if you continue

Possible Cause(s)
No power to compressor
Supply fuse is blown
Incorrect AC Voltage Selection
No power to compressor
Supply fuse is blown
Pressurized system
Bleed valve is open
Fill whip is not connected
Bleed valve is open or partially
open
Leak in system
Poor air circulation
Compressor overheating
Fan not running
Batteries are bad

Solution(s)
Verify power source has enough
voltage/amperage to power the
system.
Replace the fuse.
Verify the AC voltage selector
position matches the input voltage.
Verify power source has enough
voltage/amperage to power the
system.
Replace the fuse.
Release pressure by opening the
bleed valve until system is
depressurized.
Close bleed valve by turning the
screw clockwise until is it hand tight.
Insert test plug into fill whip or
connect whip to reservoir.
Close bleed valve by turning the
screw clockwise until is it hand tight.
Perform System Leak Test to locate
the leak.
Make sure system fans have
adequate airflow and are not
blocked.
Stop and allow the compressor to
cool before continuing.
Make sure system fan is turning.
Contact HatsanUSA for repairs if it
does not turn on.
Replace the 2 AG13/LR44 Batteries
in the temperature gauge.
