This piece of hardware is an integration of an iPad and a custom designed radio module with a standalone power supply. The iPad is configured in developer mode and is unable to access the Apple App Store but will receive updates, on a push basis from Atlas Headquarters. Users have the choice of implementing them or not.

DECRYPTION OF MEDIA Decryption of data can be done in two places. 1. Data on the SD card within the AtlasPRO can be downloaded to the tablet and decrypted/shared from there as long as you have the encryption key. a. Decryption happens within the media library on the AtlasAPP.
ATLASAPP MANUAL CONTROL CONTROLLING ATLASPRO DURING FLIGHT There are two primary methods of flying the AtlasPRO, manually or using a pre-planned mission. In FreeFlight mode, digital joysticks may be used to control in the same way that analogue sticks might be.
ATLASAPP: LANDING & EMERGENCIES LANDING THE ATLASPRO, THE NEW FUNCTIONALITY The AtlasPRO can be requested to pause its mission flight, land anywhere or even shut down its propellers in a rough landing or emergency situation. • Pausing the aircraft is done by pushing the pause button or pressing and holding on it.
ATLASAPP: MISSION PLANNING MISSION PLANNING & MAPS This mode allows you to drop points on the map, creating a path for your AtlasPRO to follow. As indicated in the image below, Mission Map Area, there are a number of elements to consider and interact with in this mode.
MISSION PLANNING & MAPS DOWNLOADING FREE MAPS Although maps are not required for flying the AtlasPRO, a license is provided which enables users to download publicly available low resolution maps from around the world. These are not expected or intended to be equivalent/superior to privately available maps or maps available from military sources.
• Turn on LEDs: This setting turns the LEDs of the AtlasPRO ON/OFF and can be done while flying. • On lost connection: In the case where AtlasPRO is flying and the connection is lost, this will help choose the specific response.
• Min Altitude: This is the lowest altitude the operator will be permitted to fly the AtlasPRO. • Return to launch altitude: In the case of an emergency, the AtlasPRO will rise to this altitude before it begins to fly home. If it has already reached or surpassed this altitude, it will fly home directly.
AtlasPRO User Manual 2020 SETTINGS: CAMERA/GIMBAL Camera/Gimbal Settings • Use AES-256 encryption mode: Switching this on will enable encryption of all media. • Encryption Password: To set or change the key, use this setting. • Smart Gimbal Mode: An alternative method of controlling/pointing the camera.

If you are interested in connecting an AtlasRELAY to the AlasSTATION via 5.8GHz WIFI, this is the place to do it.
10km total means 5km out and 5km back. • Sport Mode: Consider this as a method of activating a higher gear. There is no change in attitude or control of the AtlasPRO, but the maximum possible speed increases, and so does the accelera- tion.
AtlasPRO User Manual 2020 SETTINGS: REMAINING CAPACITY Remaining Capacity This area is available simply to display the amount of memory available for saving maps and other data to the tablet.
“ADD NEW DEVICE” button and follow the prompts. Everything is explained in the software itself. Ensure you have a small diameter probe with which you can reset the AtlasPRO. Usually the ink cartridge of a standard ballpoint pen is su cient.
NETWORKS: WIFI NETWORKS AND MESHING The Atlas system is made up of a number of connections, some in hardware, some in software, together they allow an operator to control the aircraft and see livestream footage. The AtlasSTATION is composed of two parts, a radio module and a dedicated iPad. The two devices communicate using a local 5GHz WIFI.
Note 2: It is important to only pair one Atlas device at a time. If additional devices are being reset/turned into pairing mode simultaneously, it is possible that they can change names or become paired incorrect- ly.
(Pilot) Video Quality and Mesh 1.) In order to save bandwidth in the mesh pipeline, only one AtlasPRO is allowed to stream at full resolution. Other AtlasPRO in the network are given a command to downgrade their video. 2.) The only AtlasPRO permitted to stream video, at full resolution, is chosen by the operator. It is the aircraft that is “full screen”...
NETWORKS: 2.2 MESHING Master - Slave - Slave (MSS) Mesh Configuration : 1.) Boot up AtlasSTATION, Network 1 should aready be established, boot up any additional AtlasPRO or AtlasRELAY you wish to have in your slave network. 2.) Pair them to AtlasSTATION. Provide an additional 15 seconds between steps which allows radios to enter into each mode successfully.
Body, Wings, Tail, Propellers, Cameras/sensors, Contacts, Tail Servo, Legs. Atlas does not warrant opening of the aircraft for any reason. If the aircraft makes unusual sound or vibration, suspect something is wrong. Consult Atlas immediately using your pilot certificate number and provide the serial number for your aircraft.
1.) The tail motor of the aircraft stabilizes the system, while in flight, using a servo to tilt the motor. Always check that the servo is aligned vertically and horizontally before flight. a.) When the AtlasPRO is turned o , the tail servo is inactive and should be able to move freely. Do not force it to move.
Attempting to change or mix propeller types will cause flight problems and will void warranty. • AtlasPRO aircraft flying with Quiet Props are only designed to fly with Gen2 batteries. Flying with Gen1 batteries will void the warranty. 1.) Prior to changing a propeller, first take photos of each propeller while still attached to the aircraft.
6.) A simple camera sensor test is to launch the aircraft 1-2m above the ground and look at an object with a surface rich in texture/patterns in good lighting, then test camera settings. 7.) Check the lens of the camera and ensure it is free of residue and fingerprints. 8.) Clean lenses only with recommended tools provided by Atlas.
