MATERIALS

A 1 Cross Bar
B 2 Sidearms
C 1 RH Panel Plate
D 1 LH Panel Plate
E 4 Existing M8 Nuts with Lock Washers & Flat Washer
F 2 M12 x 40 x 1.75 Bolt, Lock Washer, 30mm O.D. Washer & Witter Cage Nut & Retainer
G 4 Existing M8 Nuts with Lock Washers & Flat Washer
H 4 M12 x 40 x 1.75 Bolt, Washer, Lock Washer and Nut
X 2 Foam Packer
ZE 1 Electric Plate
ZN 1 Neck

FITTING

1. Remove the bumper by removing the seven torx screws revealed when rear doors are opened. Peel back the bumper
starting at each tip.
2. Remove the crash beam. Remove eight M8 nuts to free the beam. Retain the nuts for attaching the towbar and return
the beam to the customer.
3. Loosening the spare wheel slightly may ease fitment of bar.
4. Loosely attach the Crossbar (A) to the back panel using fixings (E).
5. Locate the mounting points along the bottom face of the chassis, removing tape or grommets covering them. Slide Side
Arms (B) down the chassis with Cage Nuts from (F) assembled. Use the remaining fixings from (F) to loosely attach
Sidearms up through the mounting point holes to the Cage Nuts.
6. Loosely attach Panel Plates (C & D) to the back panel using fixings (G).
7. Using fixings (H) loosely bolt together plates (C & D), Sidearms (B) and Crossbar (A).
8. Attach chosen neck (ZN) and Electrical Bracket (ZE).
9. Fully tighten every nut and bolt to their required torque setting, leaving fixings (F) till last.
10. Apply Foam Packers (X) in the locations shown to protect bumper from towbar corners.
11. Re-fit bumper and secure spare wheel if loosened.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
