Installation Instruction 1. Connect the power cable to the power supply unit. 2. Connect the cable to the payment terminal. 3. Switch the device on with the On/ Off button at the top of the device. 4. Insert the SIM card into the slot pro- vided for this purpose. Ensure that the contacts are facing down and that the bevelled corner of the SIM card is po- sitioned as shown. You can then close the cover again.* * SIM card is already inserted in some terminals. - Page 5 Activate WiFi » Press the «Menu» button. » Select Setup > Device Setting and confirm with OK. » Enter the merchant password 2005. » Select Connection config. > Connection settings > WiFi settings. » Select Scan nearby APs to find the desired connection » Select the connection. » Enter the WiFi password and confirm with OK. » Icon will show on the display. Your new PAX terminal runs by default with the SIM card inserted. Should this fail, the device will automatically search for a WiFi or a Bluetooth connection, which must be activated in advance.

Configuration During configuration and initialization, the payment terminal settings are checked and updated. PROCEDURE - INSTALLATION OF THE TERMINAL KEY / SYMBOL CONFIGURING THE TERMINAL 1. Switch on the terminal by pressing Stop the “Stop” button 2. Press the «Menu» button Menu 3. Select Setup > Configuration 4. Enter the merchant password* 2005 5. Confirm the merchant password INITIALISE THE TERMINAL INITIALISIEREN 1. Press the «Menu» button Menu 2. Select Setup > Initialisation 3. Enter the merchant password* 2005 4. Confirm merchant password 5. Select All If problems should occur with your terminal, please reconfigure and reinitialize your terminal again briefly. * Your new PAX 920 and Q80 terminal is configured with the 2005 merchant password by default. -

Transactions and Postings Contactless cards will be issued on demand. The payment terminal is held at a distance of less than 4 cm above the display. Chip cards are inserted with the chip forward pointing into the chip card reader. The card must remain in the reader until the payment process is completed. -

POSTINGS To help you get to the main payment function more quickly, the terminal has a speed dial key 5 . The symbol corresponds to an action that must be carried out by your customer. Daily Closing At day-end closing, all bookings made on the terminal during the day are sent to the acquirer (e.g. Aduno).
