5. Tighten the clamping lever. The clamping lever han-
dle can be released laterally for adjustment.

Positioning the shoulder straps
1. Position the shoulder straps on the backpack. XL =
tall people ... S = short people

Adjust the hip belt, chest strap and shoulder
straps
1. Put the device on its back.
2. Adjust the waist size by folding the hip belt in or out.

3. Engage the lock and adjust the hip belt.

4. Engage the lock and adjust the chest strap. Adjust
the device to the body by pulling on the centre
straps. Do not put on too tight, the main load should
be on the hip belt.

5. Adjust the position of the device on the back by pull-
ing on the final straps.

Checking the carrying system
1. Check the carrying system for damage.
2. Check that all nuts and bolts are tight.
3. Check for freedom of movement of the steel cable.

Operation

DANGER
Danger from tools that are too light
Risk of injury
Do not work with tools that are lighter than 3 kg. This
can lead to dangerous situations as the spring balance
of the carrying system would raise the tool towards your
body or face.
WARNING
Danger from damaged parts
Risk of injury
Do not work with the carrying system if belts, fasteners
or other parts are damaged.
WARNING
Danger from loose parts
Risk of injury
Do not work with the carrying system if nuts or bolts are
not properly tightened.
Turning the bracket
Note
To prevent bracket contact with e.g. a hedge, the brack-
et can be rotated 15 ° to the left or right.
1. Release the clamping lever.
2. Turn the bracket in the desired direction.
3. Tighten the clamping lever.
Setting the tool to a fixed height
Note
In order to work with the tool at a fixed height, the posi-
tion of the ball clamp must be adjusted accordingly.
1. Loosen the ball clamp.

2. Slide the ball clamp to the desired position.
3. Fasten the ball clamp.

Changing the spring tension of the spring
Note
The spring tension of the spring balancer is set to 30 N.
It can be set from 20 N to 30 N depending on the weight
of the tool. Each latching position generates an addi-
tional lifting force of 1.1 N.
1. Loosen the screw on the spring balancer.

2. Remove screw, washers and spring.

3. Increasing the spring tension: Turn the knob anti-
clockwise using an open-end wrench (22 mm). The
maximum number of recommended revolutions is 5.

4. Reducing the spring tension: Turn the knob clock-
wise with an open-end wrench (22 mm).
5. Fit the screw with washers and spring on the button
and secure.

Working with the carrying system
1. Attach the handle of the tool to the carabiner of the
carrying system.
2. Carry out maintenance work.
CAUTION
Failure to observe the weight
Risk of injury and damage
Be aware of the weight of the device during transporta-
tion.
1. If necessary, disassemble the carrying system in re-
verse order for transportation in accordance with the
chapter "Commissioning / mounting the bracket".
Take care to ensure that no dirt enters the open
tube.
2. When transporting the device in vehicles, secure it
to prevent it from slipping or overturning in accord-
ance with the respective valid guidelines.

Failure to observe the weight

Be aware of the weight of the device during storage.

Care and service

1. Clean the carrying system after each use with a soft
brush or a damp cloth.
2. Replace worn or damaged parts.
3. Lubricate the steel cable weekly with lubricating oil.
Apply a little lubricating oil to a rag, pull the steel ca-
ble out of the carrying frame as far as possible and
let it slide back through the rag.

Switch off the tool. Pull out the mains plug or remove the
battery pack.
Steel cable is no longer pulled into the spring bal-
ancer
Steel cable is broken
1. Replace the steel cable or spring balancer.
