Cassette player features

Playing Casset t e Tapes
Loading and Playing Cassettes:
A press of the release button results in the faceplate dropping
open to the front, thereby exposing the cassette insertion slot.
Holding the cassette w ith the tape exposed to the right, insert
it in the slot. The faceplate w ill show the control panel, and the
tape w ill start playing.
The
indicator lights up w hen a caseette has been loaded.

2CA U TION
When inserting a cassette make sure the cassette has been
completely draw n in before pushing back the faceplate. Failing
to do so might deform the tape.
Playing Cassettes Already Loaded:
Press the SRC button repeatedly until the tape mode is
obtained.
" TAPE" is displayed w hen the tape mode has been selected.
The tape w ill start playing.
Listening to the other side:
Press the PROG button.
Tape play sw itches to the other side.
Ejecting Cassettes:
Press the release button and drop
open the faceplate.
Press the 0 button located near
the cassette insertion slot.
The tape stops playing and the
cassette ejects.
Push back on the right side of the
faceplate w ith your hand until it
locks.
2CA U TION
• When the faceplate has been dropped open, it might interfere
w ith the shift lever or something else. If this happens, pay
attention to safety and move the shift lever or take an
appropriate action, then operate the unit.
• Do not apply excessive force to the open faceplate or place
objects on it. Doing so w ill cause damage or breakdow n.
• Do not use the unit w ith the faceplate in the open condition.
Doing so w ill cause breakdow n.

N OTE
Remove a cassette from the unit w hen not listening to it for a
w hilst. If you leave it in the unit too long, the tape may stick to
the tape head and cause the unit to malfunction.
Fast Forw arding and Rew inding Casset t e Tapes
Fast Forw arding Tapes:
Press the FM button.
The tape indicator blinks in the direction of the tape as it is
being fast forw arded.
Rew inding Tapes:
Press the AM button.
The tape indicator blinks in the direction of the tape as it is
being rew ound.
Cancelling:
Press the PROG button.
Normal tape play returns.
Blank Sk ip Funct ion
Automatically fast forw ards to the beginning of the next track
w hen long blank spaces (10 seconds or more) are detected,
continuing tape playback. This function is on, w hen unit is
first pow ered on.
Turning Blank Skip Function On/ Off:
Press the B.S button to sw itch the blank skip function on and off.
N OTE
• If the blank space contains much noise, the blank skip function
may not w ork right.
• Sections recorded at low levels may trigger the blank skip
function if they last for 10 seconds or more.
Tuner Call Funct ion
Sw itch automatically to the tuner w hilst you are rew inding or
fast forw arding the tape.
Turning Tuner Call Function On/ Off:
Press the T.C button to sw itch the tuner call function on and off.
