TIPS AND TROUBLESHOOTING The warming tray works best when used to keep already hot foods warm and is not meant for cooking or defrosting food. Hot dishes can go right from the oven to the warming tray. To retain both heat and moisture, consider covering any foods kept on the tray. Serve desserts that taste best warm, such as bread pudding and fruit crumbles and crisps, right from the tray.
