  • Page 8 ENGLISH 1.0 PREAMBLE This User Instructions Manual (hereinafter called Manual) provides useful information to work safely, aiding in the use of the EXPO T - FUTURA trailed machine. That which is written hereafter must not be considered a long list of warnings, but rather a series of instructions aimed at improving machine performance and to prevent damage to persons, objects or animals resulting from incorrect use procedures.

Furthermore the presence of various types of oils and chemical product residues make the machine potentially flammable. ATTENTION We recommend keeping a fire extinguisher of suffi- cient capacity on board the tractor and to carry out a periodical check through qualified personnel.

  • Page 28 ENGLISH USE AND MAINTENANCE 3.2 DESCRIPTION AND OVERALL DIMENSIONS The EXPO/FUTURA atomiser and formed by a central frame, two wheels,the pump and the most part of the water and electric circuits. A drawbar is connected to the central frame to fasten the machine to the tractor and a rear dispensing unit.

In order not to damage the system, one must ensure the power is taken directly from the battery (and not from the starter motor).

  • Page 37 ENGLISH USE AND MAINTENANCE 3.5 TYRES Depending on the main use of the atomiser, tyre size may be useful to improve machine lift on moist or worked soil, or mini- mise trampling of well established crops. Table 45 on page 129 shows the various types of tyres that may be fitted and relevant technical data. ATTENTION The provided data is obtained from trade catalogues.
  • Page 38 ENGLISH USE AND MAINTENANCE 3.7 VIBRATION LEVEL In conditions of operation compliant with correct use indications, vibrations are not such as to give rise to hazardous situations. 3.8 CONTROLS TO BE CARRIED OUT UPON RECEPTION OF THE MACHINE When receiving the machine, make sure that all its parts are intact. Should there be damaged parts promptly inform the area dealer or directly the manufacturers.
  • Page 39 ENGLISH USE AND MAINTENANCE 3.9.1 MACHINES FOR PROFESSIONAL COMPANY USE The equipment in use must be tested at least once within 14 December 2016 at an authorised and suitable centre in the area of residence of the machine's owner. New equipment must in any case be tested at least once within five years from purchase.
  • Page 40 ENGLISH USE AND MAINTENANCE 3.11 STORAGE - PUTTING IN GARAGE If the machine is immobilised for long periods, it must be stored in a place sheltered from atmospheric agents and pro- tected to avoid being damaged. Make sure that the storage temperature is between 0°C and 40°C. Do not set the machine on soft or excessively sloped ground.
  • Page 41 ENGLISH USE AND MAINTENANCE 3.12 DEMOLITION AND DISPOSAL When scrapping the machine, it must be disposed of in adequate landfills, complying with current legislation. Before scrapping the machine, thoroughly clean the equipment washing it inside and out. It is prohibited to drain wash water into the environment without precautions as it pollutes the groundwater.

Then tension the belts by entering them in the points in- dicated by specific stickers and slowly and gradually start lifting.

In particular, when negotiating bends with trailed ma- chines being transferred, with a narrow carriageway, the inertial thrust of the machine causes tilting hazard. The presence of liquid in the tank contributes to reducing stability in bends.

  • Page 61 ENGLISH USE AND MAINTENANCE 6.5.7 SYSTEM WASHING WATER TANK The machine is always fitted with a tank to contain the water for washing the circuit and main tank (1) (capacity equal to 62-102-135-170l litres). This tank must always be filled PRIOR to the treatment to be able to clean the main tank and the whole water system upon completion, thus easily removing chemical residues while it is still "fresh".
  • Page 62 ENGLISH USE AND MAINTENANCE 6.5.10 HYDRAULIC STIRRER Two hydraulic stirrers are installed in the lower portion of the tank (1) which, when powered by the pressurised liquid, exploit the Ven- turi principle to generate significant liquid motion. The higher the feed pressure, the more the mix is stirred.
