General safety instructions

2.3.1 Location

When working, always make sure the device is on solid ground and the area is secured. Always stand outside the hazard zone
of the moving load and never in the "ball of rope" from the emerging rope. You need enough room to move. Make sure you
have enough space to stand. Never stand on ladders.
If the location is unsuitable, use a deflector and choose a better location.
Risk of contact in proximity of power, overhead or high voltage lines!
No work in a thunderstorm. (lightning strike)

2.3.2 Anchor

The anchor point must withstand the expected tensile force (check in advance, if needed).
The best anchoring points are:
Natural anchors:
Technical anchors:
Fixate the device to the anchoring bolts with sufficiently strong straps or slings.
Always attach the pulley device to the anchoring bolts!
Never support the pulley device on the rope guiding sleeve or the casing.
The pulley device must be able to adjust freely to the tensile direction of the rope. In both cases, there is a risk of
the casing breaking!
If the anchoring bolts on the pulley device are directly attached to a fixed lug (e.g. lug made of flat material or rope load hooks),
it must not tilt at any time during operation. Risk of the casing breaking!
The pulley device with its casing, must never touch an obstacle. Risk of the casing breaking!
Do not use damaged wire rope straps or textile anchoring loops.
Rope coupling and safety catches must not be able to autonomously release when the rope is loose.
When using the device at the same place for a longer period: Check the anchors regularly!
