Mousqueton Quick-out Quick-Out Karabiner
Utilisation
Le mousqueton Quick-out est un élément de liaisons qui permet une séparation
rapide des sangles sous tension. Il est adapté pour la suspension en toute sécurité
de charges, en particulier de personnes, et pour une utilisation en extérieur.
Limites d'utilisation
Charge de rupture : 4000 DaN (1 DaN correspond à environ 1 kg).
Charge sûre : 2000 DaN (testé individuellement jusqu'à 2000 DaN).
Le mousqueton Quick-out doit être considéré comme une partie intégrante du
harnais et doit être installé par un personnel technique formé conformément à une
version actuelle de la notice d'utilisation du Quick-out (disponible sur http://www.
charly-produkte.de) et dans le respect des instructions du fabricant du harnais. Le
mousqueton Quick-out est un composant de sécurité qui faire l'objet d'un entretien
régulier. Il doit être nettoyé après tout contact avec des substances agressives (sel
de mer), du sable ou de la poussière, sinon les boutons de fermeture pourraient se
bloquer. Il existe un risque de givrage en cas d'humidité et de températures
inférieures au point de congélation. Si les boutons sont bloqués, la fermeture du
mousqueton n'est plus verrouillée. Un verrouillage non conforme de la fermeture se
remarque visuellement.
Il est recommandé de remplacer le mousqueton tous les 8 ans.
Domaines d'application
Le mousqueton à séparation rapide Quick-out a notamment fait ses preuves dans
les domaines du sauvetage et du parapente. Dans le cadre d'une utilisation sur un
parapente, le mousqueton Quick-out sert essentiellement au décrochage du
parapente après une ouverture du secours pour éviter une entrave réciproque des
ailes dans la descente et pour permettre l'utilisation d'équipements de sauvetages
commandables. En cas d'atterrissage dans l'eau ou par vent fort, le Quick-out
permet de se détacher des suspentes sous charge du parapente. Une utilisation du
Quick-out en parapente avec un accélérateur au pied est uniquement autorisée en
combinaison avec un système de séparation de l'accélérateur au pied de type
HKar14 ou HKar141.
L'utilisation du mousqueton Quick-out en parapente n'est pas recommandé, car le
mousqueton ne se trouve alors pas dans le champ de vision du pilote et qu'il est
impossible de contrôler l'enclenchement conforme.
Les consignes d'utilisation des fabricants du harnais et du parapente doivent
être respectées !

Usage
The Quick-Out karabiner is a connecting element for straps, which allows a rapid
separation of these straps whilst under tension. It is suitable for safely hanging up
loads, especially of persons and for outdoor use.
Operating limitations
Breaking load: 4000 DaN (1 DaN corresponds to approx. 1 kg).
Safe loading: 2000 DaN (individually tested up to 2000 DaN).
The Quick-Out carabiner should be regarded as a component part of the harness and
has to be installed by a qualified person in compliance with the current edition of the
Quick-Out operating manual (available at http://www.charly-produkte.de) and
according to the instructions of the harness manufacturer.
The Quick-Out carabiner is a safety-related component that requires regular main-
tenance.It must be cleaned after contact with agressive elements (e.g. salt water)
or sand and dust, otherwise the release buttons may block. There is a danger of
freezing up under damp conditions below zero degrees. The karabiner fastener can
no longer be secured properly, when the release buttons are blocked. Incorrect
security of the fastener is visually recognisable.
A replacement interval of 8 years from commissioning is recommended.
Range of application
The Quick-Out rapid separation karabiner has proven especially useful in rescue
technique and in the sport of paragliding. The purpose of the Quick-Out karabiner in
paragliding sport is mainly the separation of the paraglider after deployment of the
rescue reserve in order to prevent the mutual hindrance of the canopies during
descent, in addition to making possible the use of dirigible rescue reserves. The
Quick-Out karabiner allows for a rapid separation even when the risers are still tight
in the case of landings in water or by strong winds. Use of the Quick- Out karabiner
with paragliders equipped with an accelerator is only permissible in combination
with an accelerator separation system (Art.No. HKar14 or HKar141).
The use of the Quick-Out karabiner for hanggliding is not recommended, as it is not
within the field of vision of the pilot and hence a correct engagement of the release
buttons cannot be checked.
Attention must be paid to the instruction manuals of the repective harness-
and rescue system-manufacturers!
