Capacitive Touch Switch
The capacitive touch switch is located on the outer housing of the smart circuit. The
capacitive touch switch must be pressed firmly with the flat of two fingers and held steady
for 3 seconds to activate the switch. The capacitive touch switch activates the cargo
illumination and can override the smart battery protection circuit cutoff.
Cargo Illumination
The Toyota 12V Auxiliary Power Socket features a LED lamp which contains two high
intensity white LEDs for cargo area illumination purposes. The LED lamp is activated / de-
activated using the capacitive touch switch located on the side of the socket enclosure.
Operation of the Cargo Illumination
Operate capacitive touch switch
Once activated, the LED lamp will automatically de-activate if:
- 1 minute or 30 minutes automatic-off timer expires
- Vehicle is started (except when in 30 minutes timer mode)
- The vehicle battery reaches the cut off threshold.
