Forced ejection method in case of
emergency
In a case such as the following, a disc can be removed using the forced ejection hole.
• If the unit fails and the disc cannot be ejected with the eject button or software

Check that it has powered off and the disc has stopped rotating after waiting at least one minute.

Straighten out a paper clip and insert it straight into the forced ejection hole and push hard.

The disc tray comes out about 5 to 10 mm. Pull the tray all the way out and remove the disc.
Caution
• Do not force eject a disc while it is rotating. An injury or disc damage may occur.
• Do not place any object within 12 cm of the front of the unit as it may obstruct the disc ejection
operation.
