1. Introduction General Information This manual describes the use of AIREL-QUETIN PE8 dentistry equipment in its different versions: • PE8 One • PE8 Neo • PE8 Evolution PE8 equipment is for dental treatment and should be used by dental professionals.
All our devices are manufactured with the utmost care and are tested according to the ISO 7494-1 standard before being delivered to our customers. Any new PE8 appliance is guaranteed against any defective parts for 2 years from the day of delivery,.

2.2.2.3 Calbépuls Calbépuls® is used for the external decontamination of instruments using a pressurised air jet and CALBENIUM® solution It is used to clean instruments during a consultation, as well as after each patient for a pre-cleaning of the instruments before they are sterilised.
2.2.4 Keyboard or control screen For the PE8 equipment there are 3 models of keyboard or control screen: a touch keypad and two models of touchscreen. These 3 models are waterproof, which gives them a long life. 2.2.4.1 Touch keypads The touch keypad equips the assistant station.
§ 3.8, page The different menus are detailed in The PE8 Evolution is delivered with factory settings stored in the unit processor. A USB stick is also supplied. This allows you to save your customised settings so that you can switch from one PE8 device to another and take your working parameters with you.
Water from the ® network Calbénium The IGN® integrated in the PE8 unit allows the practitioner to work with a spray water treated with CALBENIUM®. The IGN®-CALBENIUM® system supplies instrument sprays, Calbépuls®, Aspisept®. IGN® automatically dilutes the CALBENIUM® in the spray water.
2.3.2 Surgical lighting Optional on the PE8, the surgical lighting can be mounted on the unit, suspended from the ceiling or on a floor column. Available in a halogen (ISA model) or LED version (POLARIS model). The surgical lighting is controlled by the touch keypad or by the touch screen.
3. Use The PE8 unit is delivered with factory settings that were used to check that it is working properly. The practitioner will have to modify these pre-settings in order to adapt the chair and the unit to their setting and working methods.
Adjusting the headrest The headrest tilt and positioning settings are carried out manually. The PE8 headrest comes in two versions: mechanically locked or pneumatically assisted. 3.3.1 Mechanical locking Step Action Illustration Loosen the locking knob. IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS - Always keep one spare bottle of CALBENIUM®. - Never force the use of the PE8 when the bottle is empty. The system may suction in air, causing the solution to dry in the pipes and form plugs.

- Do not use foaming products such as household cleaners or instrument disinfectants. - Do not suction in bleach. This would weaken the corrugated cords of the PE8. - Most amalgam separation and recovery systems available on the market are foam sensitive.
