TUBE ASSEMBLY
First decide the number of straps required. Use the guide at the base of the page.
1. Mark the centre of the inner tube. Slide the large wedges (if required) along this tube.
2. Join the tubes together by inserting the smaller
tube inner into the two outers, making sure the
centre line is equal distance from both outer tubes.
Secure by screwing the clamp tight with the Allen
key provided, these can be left loose if undecided
on final tube length.
It is recommended that the reel tube is wider than
the cover by between 6-12in (15-30cm) each end.
3. Place the reel end stands on the ground closer
than the correct distance apart. This is just to help
assembly NOT final positions. Lift the assembled
tubes and rest temporarily on the Y pieces. Slide
the required quantity of small wedges into each of
the outer tubes.
4. Fit the two steering wheels (PRD00003) to the outside ends of the outer tubes
using the two SCR005 No 10 x ½in pan head pozi self-tapping screws.
5. Place the assembled tubes into the Y pieces, and position square to the pool
where it will be used.
6. The baseplate and wall mount models need to be centred with the
bearing grooves in the boss. The fixing holes should be drilled, and
brackets bolted perfectly vertical in concrete.
7. When using ground sleeve model, a hole needs to be excavated
4 x 4 x 8in deep (10 x 10 x 20cm), and the sleeves installed perfectly
vertical in concrete.
The sleeves need to be in the exact centre of the boss grooves.
Please see diagram below (Figure 7).
8. Attach all the required long straps to the previously fitted wedges
using the thumb screws provided.
9. You are now ready to attach the straps to the cover.
PLEASE NOTE: There are spare wedges and straps supplied.

COVER ATTACHMENT
1. With the cover cut to the size of the pool as required and floating on the pool, pull the cover out of the
water towards the reel system until the two meet.
2. Start in the middle of the cover with the first strap point, the two outside straps should be positioned
1.5in(40mm) from the edge of the cover then equally space the straps along the cover at a spacing of

no more than 3ft (90cm) apart. Ideal strap spacing 2-3ft (60-90cm).
3. Fix the short straps and buckle to the cover using the press fix connectors
as shown on the drawing below. If the male section of the Press Fix
Connector protrudes, trim excess off to eliminate possible damage.
4. The long straps can now be attached to the buckles and tensioned equally to
ensure easy operation (as shown on the drawing).
5. Be sure strap lengths allow the cover to be in complete contact with the water
surface when on the pool.
6. Finally, simply make sure the long straps are all square to the reel and cover
by sliding the thumb screws into line and tightening.
PLEASE NOTE
The reel is best operated as close to the pool edge as possible to avoid the
cover rubbing on the copings or pool surround. This can cause damage to the
underside of the cover if the reel is not positioned correctly.
How to Cover
1. If you have a mobile system, please make sure that
it is in the correct position as close to the pool edge
as possible and brakes are on before use. Or if you
are using deck anchors (PRD125) ensure they are
secured down.
2. Attach the tow rope to the cover if it is not already
fitted, pull it down to the other end of the pool making
sure there are objects in the way.
3. Pull the tow rope from the other end guiding the
cover onto the pool smoothly. Unclip and store the
tow rope safely.
