- Page 2 Introduction This How To Guide will show you how to either do a hard reset on the unit if we have requested it or replace your battery. If you are replacing the battery, perform section A, page 3 “Taking apart the device” then skip to section C, page 5 “Battery Replacement”.
- Page 3 A. Taking apart the device STEP 1: Using a screwdriver or a drill, remove the 4 screws concealing the device’s battery and motherboard. STEP 2: Once you have removed the 4 screws, pull apart the two pieces SLOWLY and GENTLY! STEP 3: You should start to reveal the battery and see and BLACK wire.
- Page 4 B. Hard Reset STEP 1: Notice the WHITE connector piece that connects the battery to the motherboard. Pull this apart, disconnecting the two. STEP 2: With the two disconnected, wait for a period of 1-2 Minutes. Once the time has elapsed, plug the two back together.
- Page 5 C. Battery Replacement STEP 1: Notice the WHITE connector piece that connects the battery to the motherboard. Pull this apart, disconnecting the two. STEP 2: Once you have disconnected the motherboard from the battery, pull off the end piece. STEP 3: Next, pull/slide out the battery AND the motherboard together to avoid damaging the connecting wires.
- Page 6 STEP 4: Now that everything is out in the open, replace the old battery with the new one. FIG 1 STEP 5: Connect the battery back to the motherboard and start to slide the battery and motherboard back into the body of the device.
