General Guidelines
• Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.
• Protected the device against extreme heat, dust and moisture.
• Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.
• All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons.
• Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the
warranty.

Installation
This device must be connected directly to the mains (no socket) via the connection box (3), maximum
voltage 230V AC. The connection to the mains should be prepared and carried out by an
acknowledged professional.

The device is designed to operate in a vertical position, with the detector (2) at the bottom. Do not
mount on a ceiling.
Mount the device at a height between 2m and 4.5m. Keep at least 20 cm of free safety distance above
and left and right of the device.
Make sure that no objects are blocking or disturbing the view of the detector, as they might cause
undesired activation of the device (e.g. tree branches etc.).
To install/replace the lamp, remove power from the mains leads by removing or opening the circuit
breaker of the circuit the device is connected to.
Be aware that the housing becomes extremely hot during operation – allow enough time for the
device to cool down before touching it.
Open the front cover by loosing the screw on top.
DO NOT TOUCH the halogen bulb with bare fingers – use a piece of cloth or wear gloves. The
halogen lamp is held by spring loaded sockets. Push on one side to release the other end of the bulb.
Only use halogen bulbs that are suited for this device. Refer to the "Technical Specifications"
below.
