TROUBLE SHOOTING

If you are still experiencing reception problems after installation, please refer to the

trouble-shooting guide below
Problems with Digital TV Reception
Unlike analogue terrestrial television, it is not possible to view digital channel under weak signal
strength conditions. Therefore, typically you will either receive digital channels with a clear picture and
sound or you will not receive any channels at all.
Insufficient digital signal can cause occasional blocking, freezing or complete loss of picture. Some roof
antennas may not be suitable for digital terrestrial television. Ensure that you have fitted a suitable
antenna to help improve signal quality to a suitable level for clear digital reception. Further check that
all connections & cable from antenna to receiver are good quality, secure and clean.
Blocking, freezing or complete loss of picture can also occur when a digital signal is too strong.
Adjusting the gain control knob until the picture improves may help.

The Antsig AP862 may not be receiving any channels or reception due to the following reasons:

1. Weak Signal Strength – Digital TV requires a strong signal. If the antenna is not suitable or the signal is weak, channels may not be received.
2. Strong Signal Overload – If the signal is too strong, it can cause blocking, freezing, or loss of reception. Adjusting the gain control knob may help.
3. Antenna Compatibility – Some antennas may not be suitable for digital terrestrial TV. Ensure the antenna is appropriate for digital signals.
4. Cable and Connection Issues – Loose, poor-quality, or dirty connections can affect signal reception. Check and secure all cables.
5. Short Circuit Detection – If the red light is on, a short has been detected. Disconnect each cable one at a time from the amplifier until the light turns green.

Checking and addressing these issues should help restore reception.
