Update
1 Turn Off the TPM tool.
2 Connect the Tech II RS 232 cable to the Comm. port of
your PC.
3 Connect the other end of the RS 232 connector to the
RJ45 connector located on the side of the TPM tool, see
illustration below.
4 Place the CD in the CD ROM tray of your Windows
compatible PC. The CD will automatically begin the
update program.
Note: If the CD does not automatically begin, click your PC
Windows START button > RUN > BROWSE > click on the CD
drive > click the OPEN button.> click "TPM_Flasher.exe". >
press ENTER. The Update application will be launched.
5 Press and hold down the left side button on the TPM tool
as you press the On/Off button on the TPM tool. The TPM
tool screen will display the message "Flash."
6 Click the NEXT button on the PC screen and follow the
screen prompts to install version 3.4 software on the TPM
tool.
7 "Flashing in Progress" will display on the PC window as
the tool is updated. At completion of the update, "Update
Download Complete" will display.
8 With the software installation complete, reboot the TPM
tool with the following steps:
a Open the battery door
b Push the battery against the spring tension to momen-
tarily disconnect the battery connection,
c Release the battery to reconnect battery power.
9 The update is successful. Press the TPM tool On/Off
button to boot up the TPM tool.
