  • Page 4: Universal Adjustable Outhaul

    This kit is designed to be used on any X1, X3, X9,RS:X or RS:One boom. For the X1, X3 and RS:One booms you will need to modify the back end of the boom by installing a new tail piece (included). For the RS:X and X9 booms, the tail end is supplied complete with pulleys and is therefore ready for the installation of an adjustable outhaul.

    X9 and RS:X Booms INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS You do not need to modify the tail end of your X9 or RS:X boom in order to install an adjustable outhaul system. Set up the outhaul as shown: 1. Align the plastic clamps (CL111) about 20cm aft of your rear hand position, and insert the aluminum cleats (CL244) with teeth facing forward.

    All X1, X3 and RS:One Booms INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Tools required for installation are an electric drill and a pop-rivet gun. You will firstly need to install the new tail piece as follows: 1. Place boom tail in a clamp. Make sure that the clamp has padded jaws.
  • Page 7 2. Tie the 5mm line onto the boom arm just aft of the cleat with a clove hitch, and run the line through the pulley on the Ronstan RF571 block and back through the cleat. 3. Tie the 4mm line onto the loop on the RF571 pulley block with a bowline and thread the line through the pulleys on the tail piece and the sail’s clew grommet.

    RS:X Adjustable Downhaul USER GUIDE On the RS:X there is the option to use the adjustable downhaul to be able to trim the sail to fit the conditions. When the wind is light you can release the downhaul while sailing and when the wind pick’s up you can add some downhaul.

  • Page 10 Loop the 140cm 4mm Spectra Rope through the 224BLK and attach it to the fixed attachment point on the second 244BLK. Dutch Marine Bowline knot required. Attach the 220 cm 4mm Spectra Rope, with an in-braided (thicker) part from 100 to 130 cm to the fixed attachment point on the 224BLK. Tighten the longest side before the in-braided part starts to the 224BLK, this is to make sure that the in-braided part sits in the cleat of the mast base after rigging.
  • Page 11 Take the 300cm 8mm Polyester Line. Make 2 knots, one right on the end of the 8mm Polyester line and the second one 10cm from the end. This is for a good grip and to make sure the rope can’t disappear in the cleat leaving 10cm hanging out to hold and pull it back.
  • Page 12 Take the rope back to the bottom 244BLK and feed the rope from the cleat side around the roller on the far side from the fixed attachment point. Feed the line on the top 244BLK from the opposite side of the cleat around the roller closest to the fixed attachment point through the cleat.
  • Page 13 Then take the end that had the 220cm 4mm Spectra Rope, with an in-braided (thicker) part from 100 to 130cm. Feed it through the grommet on the tack fairing to be looped into the base as shown on the following picture. When this is all done correctly you are ready to go on the water.

    X9 und RS:X Gabelbäume AUFBAUANLEITUNG Du brauchst die Endstücke der X9 oder RSX Gabel nicht zu verändern, um das Trimmsystem anzubringen. Das Trimmsystem wird wie folgt montiert : 1. Bringe die Kunststoffhalter (CL111) etwa 20 cm hinter deiner Griffposition der hinteren Hand am Gabelbaum an.

    Alle X1, X3 und RS:One Gabelbäume AUFBAUANLEITUNG Benötigtes Werkzeug für den Anbau sind eine Bohrmaschine und eine Pop-Nietenzange. Du musst zuerst das neue Endstück wie folgt anbringen: 1. Spanne das Endstück in einen Schraubstock. Stell vorher sicher, dass der Schraubstock abgepolstert ist.

Den 5 mm Tampen bringst du mit einem Webeleinstek (Knoten) hinter der Belegklemme am Gabelbaumholm an, führst den Tampen durch den Trimmblock Ronstan RF571 und dann zurück in die Belegklemme. 3 . Bringe den 4 mm Tampen an der Öse des RF571 Blocks mit Hilfe eines Palsteks (Knoten) an und führe den Tampen durch die Umlenkrollen des Endstücks sowie durch die Schothornöse deines Segels.

    RS:X verstellbares Vorliek-Trimmsystem BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG Für das RSX Rigg gibt es die Option, einen verstellbaren Vorliekstrimm zu benutzen, um die Vorlieksspannung des Segels an die Bedingungen anzupassen. Bei Leichtwind kann die Vorlieksspannung gelockert werden und bei zunehmendem Wind wird diese erhöht. Ebenso lässt sich das Vorliek individuell anpassen mit weniger Spannung für Raumschot und erhöhter Spannung auf der Kreuz.
  • Page 19 HILFREICHE TIPPS Um dieses Zubehör anzubringen, musst du wissen, wie man einen Palstek Knoten macht. Auf dem unteren Bild sieht man, wie dieser Knoten gemacht wird. Benutze diesen Knoten für den Aufbau des verstellbaren Vorliek-Trimmsystems. Nachfolgend findest du die Aufbauanleitung, folge dieser Anleitung genau, um das Trimmsystem korrekt anzubringen.
  • Page 20 Führe den 140 cm langen 4 mm Spektra Tampen durch den 224 BLK Block und verbinde ihn mit der Öse am zweiten 244 BLK Block. Auch hier einen Palstek verwenden. Der 220 cm lange 4 mm Spektra Tampen (der mit dem dickeren Teil zwischen 100 und 130 cm) wird an der Öse des 224 BLK Blocks angebracht.
  • Page 21 Nimm den 300 cm langen 8 mm Polyester Tampen zur Hand. Mache zwei Knoten, einen am Ende des Tampens und einen 10 cm davon entfernt. Das bringt besseren Grip und verhindert, dass der Tampen durch die Klemme rutscht , und lasse 10 cm Tampen übrig, um ihn greifen und ziehen zu können.
  • Page 22 Führe den Tampen zurück zum unteren 244 BLK Block und führe ihn von der Klemmenseite um die Rolle, die am weitesten von der Öse entfernt ist. Führe den Tampen am oberen 244 BLK Block nun von der offenen Seite um die Rolle, die neben der Öse sitzt, und durch die Belegklemme hindurch.

    Wishbones X9 et RS:X MODE D’INSTALLATION Il n’est pas nécessaire de modifier le bloc arrière de votre wishbone X9 ou RS:X pour installer un système d’écoute réglable. Montez le système comme indiqué ci-dessous : 1. Positionnez les joues en plastique (CL111) sur les tubes du wishbone à environ 20cm de la position de votre main arrière et insérez les taquets coinceurs en aluminium (CL244) les dents vers l’avant.

    RS:X Kit De Palan D'amure MODE D'EMPLOI Sur la RS:X, vous avez la possibilité d'utiliser un palan d'amure réglable pour pouvoir régler la voile pour toutes les conditions. Lorsque le vent est léger, vous pouvez relâcher le guindant et quand il forcit l'étarquer.
  • Page 29 CONSEILS UTILES Pour assembler ce kit, vous devez savoir faire un nœud de chaise. Le nœud de chaise est un nœud récurrent dans le domaine maritime. Il permet de constituer avec un cordage un œil au périmètre constant. Sa particularité est qu'il est facile à défaire, même après avoir subi une traction très forte.
  • Page 30 Passez le bout en Spectra de 1,40 m dans le réa de la poulie simple 224 BLK et refaite un nœud de chaise sur le deuxième Bloc poulies 244 BLK comme indiqué ci-contre. Fixez le bout en Spectra 4mm 2,20m à la poulie simple 224 BLK (avec nœud de chaise).

    RS:X Escota Regulable GUÍA DEL USUARIO La RS:X trae la opción de usar la escota regulable para poder trimar la vela Tome la lÌnea de Poliéster de 300 cm. x 8 mm. Haga 2 nudos, uno justo en la terminación y asÌ satisfacer las distintas condiciones. En condiciones de viento leve usted puede aflojar la escota cuando este navegando y cuando el viento aumenta usted puede agregar mas escota.
