2. How to use

Clean the jug, the funnel and the lid. Wash the jug and the funnel with a clean
sponge soaked in diluted mild kitchen detergent. Make sure all detergent is
thoroughly rinsed off after cleaning. Do not wet the lid, wipe the lid with a clean cloth.
Do not use detergent on the cartridge.
Peel the tape on the Media cartridge before use. Wash the Media cartridge with
tap water. Then soak and shake it in the tap water to remove any air bubbles (Fig.
1). Insert and press the HFM cartridge into the funnel (Fig. 2) and then the Media
cartridge into it horizontally (Fig. 3). NO GOOD if the cartriges are leaning. Pour
water into the jug until it is 2/3 full (Fig. 4). Place the funnel into the jug (Fig. 5).
Leave to stand for 20 minutes and confi rm the activated carbon is NOT inclined (Fig. 6).
Pour away the water that has collected in the funnel and the jug (Fig. 7). Pour water
into the funnel until it reaches the water line above
fi lter naturally (Fig. 8). Once the water in the funnel has been fi ltered, pour away the
water that has collected in the jug (Fig. 9).
* New cartridges usually take longer time to fi lter water. Additional time is required
when the water temperature is low.
Repeat procedures (Fig. 8) and (Fig. 9) twice more (for a total of 3 times.).
Before use, press the counter button on the lid for 2-5 seconds to reset the timing.
