  • Page 3 Deutsch ALLgEmEINES Der Beutel ist in 3 verschiedenen Größen erhältlich: - Baby bis 7 kg Volumen: 250 ml - Kind 7-30 kg Volumen: 500 ml - Erwachsene über 30 kg Volumen: 1800 ml Der Beatmungsbeutel wird komplett mit einem Ansaugventil und einem Patientenventil (wahlweise mit oder ohne Überdruckventil) geliefert.
  • Page 4 Ohne Druckbegrenzer 2a) Einen Atembeutel (Baby und Kind 500 ml, Erwachsene 1500 ml) auf das Patientenventil stecken. Den Be- atmungsbeutel mehrmals komprimieren und loslassen, der Atembeutel muss sich nun füllen. Bei weiterer Ventilation ist das Füllen und Entlasten des Atembeutels zu beobachten. 2b) Dichtigkeitstest: Den Atembeutel entfernen.

SAUERSTOFFZUFUHR Der Beatmung kann Sauerstoff zugeführt werden (nahezu 100 % Sättigung), indem ein VBM Reservoirventil und ein VBM Reservoirbeutel auf das Ansaugventil des Beatmungsbeutels aufgesteckt wird, und über den Stutzen am Ansaugventil Sauerstoff zugeführt wird. Sollten Reservoirbeutel und Reservoirventile anderer Hersteller ver- wendet werden, muss vorher die Kompatibilität der Anschlüsse geprüft werden.

ENTSORgUNg Die gebrauchten oder beschädigten Produkte müssen gemäß den anwendbaren nationalen und internationa- len gesetzlichen Regelungen entsorgt werden.

    English gENERAL The bag is available in 3 different sizes: - Infant up to 7 kg Volume: 250 ml - Child 7–30 kg Volume: 500 ml - Adult greater than 30 kg Volume: 1800 ml The resuscitation bag is supplied complete with an intake valve and a non-rebreathing valve (optionally with or without a pressure relief valve).
  • Page 8 Without pressure relief valve 2a) Attach a rebreathing bag (infants and children, 500 ml; adults, 1500 ml) to the non-rebreathing valve. Com- press and release the resuscitation bag repeatedly, checking that the rebreathing bag fills. With continued ventilation, the filling and emptying of the rebreathing bag must be observed. 2b) Leak test: remove the rebreathing bag.

    Oxygen can be delivered while ventilating (nearly 100% saturation) by attaching a VBM reservoir valve and a VBM reservoir bag to the intake valve of the resuscitation bag and supplying oxygen via the port on the intake valve. If reservoir bags and reservoir valves from other manufacturers are used, the compatibility of the connec- tions must be checked beforehand.

    STORAgE AND TRANSPORT CONDITIONS The maximum shelf life of the product is 5 years. • Protect from heat and store in a dry place. • Keep away from sunlight and light sources. • Store and transport in the original packaging. DISPOSAL Used or damaged products must be disposed of in accordance with the applicable national and international legal regulations.
