• Check logs for and remove nails or other debris before splitting. • Remove all branches from the log before splitting. • Check for any damaged parts before use. Note: If the log does not split immediately, do not force it by maintaining the thrust for more than a few seconds. This can damage the tool. It is better to try repositioning the log on the splitter, or setting the log aside Freeing a Jammed Log 1.
