REFRIGERATOR INSTALLATION Unpack the Refrigerator WARNING Excessive Weight Hazard Use two or more people to move and install refrigerator. Failure to do so can result in back or other injury. Remove packaging materials Remove and properly dispose of packaging materials. Remove tape and glue residue from surfaces before turning on the refrigerator. -

NOTE: Before performing any type of installation, cleaning, or removing a light bulb, turn the control (Thermostat, Refrigerator or Freezer Control depending on the model) to OFF and then disconnect the refrigerator from the electrical source. When you are finished, reconnect the refrigerator to the electrical source and reset the control (Thermostat, Refrigerator or Freezer Control depending on the model) to the desired setting. -

REFRIGERATOR USE Ensuring Proper Air Circulation In order to ensure proper temperature, you need to permit proper airflow in the refrigerator. Do not cover the shelves with towels or plastic. If the shelves are covered, temperature and moisture problems may occur. IMPORTANT: To prevent odors and keep food from drying out, wrap or cover foods tightly. -

REFRIGERATOR CARE Clean the Refrigerator Explosion Hazard Use nonflammable cleaner. Failure to do so can result in death, explosion, or fire. Clean the refrigerator about once a month to prevent odors from building up. Wipe up spills immediately. IMPORTANT: The semiautomatic defrost button is located in the center of the exterior refrigerator control. -

Defrost and Clean the Freezer Explosion Hazard Use nonflammable cleaner. Failure to do so can result in death, explosion, or fire. You can use the semiautomatic defrost feature or manually defrost the freezer. With semiautomatic defrost, you start the defrost cycle manually, but it ends automatically (HRF1-2001). Complete defrosting and cleaning should be done at least once a year. -
