Gliding
Gliding mode is available at speeds below
90 mph (140 km/h).
The engine is switched off and disconnected
from the drive train. The electric motor
operates as a generator to produce the power
required for the auxiliary consumers and
charges the high-voltage battery.
Gliding Plus
It is possible to increase the distance you
drive in Gliding mode.
When the vehicle is in Gliding mode:
Pull the right-hand steering wheel paddle
X
shifter.
Energy recovery is reduced to the minimum
energy required.
You can tell that energy recovery is no longer
operating at full capacity by looking at the
power display for the electric motor
(
page 30).
Y
Gliding Plus mode is deactivated if:
the engine starts up

you depress the brake pedal.
