General Maintenance Of Your Blinds In a normal household environment, your blinds will need little little maintenance. All components should operate smoothly under normal use. Should pulleys or motor brackets develop a squeak in operation, lubricate with a silicon based spray. Do not use an oil based lubricant (such as WD40) as the oil may mark the fabric or cause dirt to a dhere to cords and fabric.
