Getting Started Chapter Outline of Functions The FSV-VN5 is a hybrid NAS (Network Attached Storage) device that allows you to combine a main server, an AIT Library, and a cache server into a unified storage system. It is mounted from an application server as a dedicated storage system.
  • Page 5 Low-cost high-performance system An overall low-cost system is achieved by combining each component for optimum performance, and by using a main server composed of a RAID disk array in combination with low-cost-per-gigabyte AIT cartridges. The cache server covers AIT cartridge accessibility and insures sufficient performance. While the system is operating, moreover, electricity and other running costs are kept low in comparison to systems composed entirely of disks.
