2.1 Operator Training

Operator using the product:
Must read and understand this manual

● Must have full training on the proper use of the product
Must have training on patient handling techniques and manual

handling procedures
Must have the physical ability to assist the casualty

Must practice with the product before using it with a person /
●
casualty
Must keep training records. For a sample training record see page

2.4 Daily Operator Duties

It is good practice for operators to check equipment daily. To check the
Ferno PXB follow the procedures as described in this manual:
● Ensure that all components of the board are present and
undamaged
Ensure the product has no signs of visible damage
●
● Visually inspect the board to ensure it is fit for use
